I had an opportunity to see the typically exciting appearance of Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals last night. Wow. As is par for the warmly personal rockstar, Harper gave a heartfelt performance.

Fiesta 08 has begun! |

The mele has begun. Once again, I will be covering as many Fiesta events as I can attend during this last week of July and first weekend of August 08. This year I have substantially updated my camera gear which should allow for better quality photos. Better gear helps increase the liklihood that I will be able to capture an opportunity, but it doesn't guarantee anything.

Here's a shot from last night taken from East Beach (just East of Stearn's Wharf). It was a bit windy this year which was good for the removal of smoke, but I was hoping for a better reflection in the ocean or even Mission Creek. In any case, I'm very happy with this shot which frames the wharf and world famous, Harbor Restaurant.

Last night Sherly Crow gave a smashing performance to an enthusiastic crowd at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Opening the show for Crow was Los Lonely Boys, who also put on a tight performance. Photo of Crow below with plenty of good shots to be added to the gallery soon.

Today we posted over 200 images to the Pro Lab Store from the 2007 Waikoloa Canoe Race in Hawaii. Some of the images are generic scenics, but most are of people paddling in the three different races: children's, women/mixed, and men's.
