Today we have finally posted our images from the Queen Lili'oukalani Canoe Race in Kona, Hawai'i. This is the worlds largest canoe race, consisting of ocean-rigged, outrigger canoes and paddlers from all over the world. Different classes separate wooden, fiberglas and carbon boats. |

Woo hoo! Got some great night shots of Santa Barbara's annual Parade of Lights celebration. The boats, all decorated in their best luminous duds, paraded from the harbor down to East Beach and back. Afterwards, there was a short display of fireworks. Check out these amazing shots I was able to procure: |

Big Wednesday Surf |

On Wednesday I went down to Ventura to photograph the surf which would allegedly bring 40ft swells. In actuality, it was big, but not huge (save for a few large sets). Most waves were even a little slow. Nonetheless, there were some nice photos to be had! |

9/26/07. Wow. Saturday's sunset in Santa Barbara was one of the best I've ever seen here. The clouds were boisterous and intense, like those you'd see over a tropical island. I was able to capture this panoramic of the sunset at Santa Barbara Harbor.

Last Night, I shot Modest Mouse and Matt Costa at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Though both bands put on great performances, my main purpose for shooting last night was to take some photos of the venue, especially the new pavilion. |
