During the red carpet events for this year's Santa Barbara International Film Festival's Montecito Award, I setup an apparatus for shooting a big street panorama. This year the award went to Daniel Day-Lewis, who can be seen signing an autograph near the front, center of the photograph.
I setup a tripod on a ladder and acquired images over a two-hour period. More than 24 separate exposures were used to make up this shot, which holds up with extreme detail when printed 36 inches wide.
You'll probably be able to see a framed version at the Arlignton Theatre's box office, and also at D'Vine Cafe in Santa Barbara.
